The Clients You Attract

Over the next few days I’ll be sharing with you the top mistakes I see service providers making when trying to sell their programs and services online.

It will be a great audit for you to make sure you are truly focusing on what matters to increase your revenue.

Mistake #1: Attracting The Wrong Audience

Interested in learning the ONE change I made in my webinar that helped me attract more high-end clients instead of people who said, “I can’t afford it”?

Great.

Before I get to that, first let me tell you…

I have run the same webinar over 75 times live and it has helped generate a million dollars in revenue.

Contrast that to when I first began selling off webinars, I used to create a different webinar every time I ran a new marketing campaign. I thought I had to keep the content fresh. Ooph. It was exhausting.

As I analyzed my webinar numbers, they proved to me that it was better to just keep running the best one over-and-over again.

Over the course of running it so many times, I noticed something fascinating.

My team and I analyzed whom we were attracting. We were able to categorize our audience into one of 4 quadrants.

  1. Newbies who had no money and needed to make money right now.
  2. Newbies who had enough income to allow them to invest and build their online business right.
  3. Experts who had no money and needed to make money right now.
  4. Experts who had enough income to allow them to invest and build their online business right.

Knowing what we wanted to attract more of, I made a change to my webinar.

Guess what that change was?

I changed the STORY I shared.

Note the differences in my story before and after here….

Story #1

I used to tell the story of how I struggled my first 18 months as a coach.

How I did 280 free coaching sessions, just as I was told to do, and didn’t enroll a single high-end client.

And how learning how to properly market myself online rapidly changed everything for me and help me to build a successful coaching business online.

Story #2

I decided to share, instead, the story of how my business partner and I had tried the traditional stressful online launch models.

How within 3 weeks we built a new audience of 4,000 on our list, and generated $250,000 from a brand new business.

Then I shared the behind-the-scenes of that launch and what my husband said that was a complete wake-up call of what this business was really doing to my health and my family and how I knew that I had to do something different.

I shared how I had a little heart-to-heart talk with God and how that led to me trying a new idea that has since been the most ingenious way I’ve learned how to sell high-end programs and services online….

I shared how it generates a 10 to 1 return on any money I invest in ads, and how I’ve been able to sell out my high-end mastermind every time I open it for new clients.

Can you see how that second story would attract a different audience?

Are you having difficulty attracting clients who don’t say, “I can’t afford it.” Take a look at the stories you share on social media, on your webinars, and in your marketing. What tweak can you make to uplevel?
