Behind Every Behavior is a Person

Behind every behavior is a person with:

a unique story,

a unique history,

a unique belief system,

a unique longing,

unique wounds,

unique thoughts,

a unique soul.

If we could embody what the world looks like from his/her perspective, the behavior makes perfect sense… And we possibly would behave the same way.

I went to a workshop recently and was blown away at the number of people who shared that deep down inside they questioned their worth. Their life stories somewhere along the journey implanted a question, or worse yet, a lie.

I was so moved. I try to frequently remember that day. So when I don’t understand someone’s behavior or am tempted to be hurt by it, I try to remember that deep inside this person too has a place in their heart that has some extra room for love.
